Achievements

​​To date the Club has contributed greatly to the execution of our mission:
Assisted in Fish Hatchery Maintenance replacing and cleaning rearing tanks Removed beaver dams, woody and human debris from rivers and streams Assisted in fish stocking efforts, fin clippings to identify specific age class fish Assisted in the collection of eggs and milt collection and fish incubation Assisted in smelt restorations and plankton studies in Sebago Lake Sponsored educational efforts through youth scholarships to Bryant’s Pond conservation camp, hosted “Hooked on Fishing” events Assisted in invasive species identification (aquatic plants, fish, bi-valves) aand removal through targeted fishing Assisted in watershed surveys identifying, locating, and classifying impediments to fish passage Identifying and classifying specific erosion sites and sources for remediation Supported local events such as Sebago Days, children’s ice derbies, and alternative school events for non-traditional learning environments Participated in the Sebago Chapter Trout Unlimited pond reclamation program, 5 in 5, to restore cold water fisheries in five area ponds in 5 years
